Seoul, South Korea: tradition and modern culture at its best.

One flight ,15 hours 40 minutes. This is how our trip to South Korea started. I have never taken a single flight for that long and the thought of it made me cringe, but to me the destination was worth it. My husband is traveling to give scientific talks at two different conferences in Seoul, so I jumped at the chance of a few days of vacation before his work starts, to explore Korea.

RV traveling is so new to me that every time we take off, I learn a different lesson or two. The purpose of our recent cross-country trip was to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday where he would hike through the Grand Canyon, from rim to rim.

I am in Costa Rica directing a five week university study abroad program, UNO Costa Rica. This country is an idyllic place with friendly people, beautiful beaches, breathtaking views, erupting volcanoes and green foliage everywhere. It seems like paradise but sometimes things don't turn the way we planned.
